About Us

Our Mission: At RILEY Training, we believe rescue readiness is for everyone! Through inclusive, expert instruction and hands-on education, we empower lifeguards and rescuers with the knowledge and confidence to respond in any situation. Because every life saved begins with being rescue ready.

Founded by Riley McCurdy, a lifelong swimmer and educator, RILEY Training is built on years of experience in aquatic safety and instruction. Riley has been a Red Cross Lifeguard since 2019 and holds certifications as a Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (2022) and Lifeguard Instructor (2023). In addition, Riley has served as Waterfront Director at Camp Encore/Coda in Maine for four summers, and holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in education.

With a lifelong love of the water, a passion for teaching, and years of leadership experience, RILEY Training is here to help you gain the skills and confidence you need—whether you’re training as a new lifeguard, refreshing your certifications, or learning how to keep your community safe.

Our promise: You’ll leave every RILEY Training course not only prepared, but confident in your ability to protect others when it matters most.
